PRESS RELEASE: Archbishop Auza, papal nuncio to the United Nations, addresses conference on sustainable development -- (Archbishop Bernardito Auza, papal nuncio and permanent observer of the Holy See to the United Nations, gave a keynote address for a conference titled “A Global Compact for Sustainable Development: Advancing Care for Our Common Home” Sunday evening (April 3) in the Jordan Auditorium of the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business)

PRESS RELEASE: Conference explores Laudato Si’ and sustainable development -- (As part of the celebration of Pope Francis’ encyclical on the environment Laudato Si’, the University of Notre Dame hosted a two-day conference to explore the significance of the encyclical, as well as the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. (SDGs), key targeted environmental and developmental goals unanimously approved by world leaders in September)

Father Williams, along with the two other members of the Board of Directors of the United Nations Global Compact and several staff members of the United Nations, drafted the RESPONSE See the document to the Papal Encyclical on the Environment.
