In her role as President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Canada and Vice President GE, Elyse is responsible for growing GE’s business in Canada and advancing the company’s leadership in advanced technology, services and finance.
Elyse’s career with GE began in 1984 and has spanned the US, Canada and several industrial and consumer GE businesses including aviation, energy and lighting.
Elyse is a passionate champion for Canada’s competitiveness, advancing the country’s science and technology base and competitive fiscal policy. She actively engages in industry groups, public policy and the community and serves on the Boards of Directors for several organizations, including the Canadian Council of Chief Executives, the C.D. Howe Institute, MaRS Discovery District, Conference Board of Canada and the ROM Board of Governors. She recently completed her tenure as Chair, Canadian Chamber of Commerce and Director, the Royal Ontario Museum. Elyse has served on a number of federal and provincial government advisory boards. She has been recognized as a YWCA 2012 Woman of Distinction (Business), a Top 100 Business Women of Influence by the Women’s Executive Network, and as Canadian Business Magazine’s 25 Most Powerful People in Canada (2009).
Elyse holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology & Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth. An active alumnus, she currently serves on the Tuck School Board of Overseers. Elyse holds an honorary doctorate from Ryerson University in Toronto. Elyse lives in Toronto with her husband and son.
Director of Admission at Mendoza College of Business
Kristin McAndrew is the Director of Admissions for Graduate Business Programs at the University of Notre Dame. In that role, she leads the recruiting and application evaluation efforts for Notre Dame’s One- and Two-Year MBA programs, the Master of Science in Management, and the Master of Science in Accountancy. Kristin began her admission career 19 years ago as an Admission Counselor at her alma mater, Saint Mary’s College. She then served as Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission at Simmons College, before spending twelve years in admission at Emerson College, including three years as their Director of Graduate Admissions. She returned to her alma mater to serve as Director of Admission before making the transition to the University of Notre Dame.
Kristin holds a B.A. from Saint Mary’s College and a Masters in Integrated Marketing Communication from Emerson College. As an alumna of a women’s college, and having served as an admission professional at two women’s colleges, Kristin has a passion for helping women advance through education.

Judy L. Toland
Commercial Leader, Electronics & Appliances

Judy Toland is Commercial Leader, Electronics and Appliances for GE Capital, Commercial Distribution Finance. This P&L leadership role is responsible for all aspects of locating/originating new, and retention of existing, vendors, dealers, and industry buying groups relationships in the electronics, appliances, and furniture industries. In addition, this role involves defining and executing a customer focused strategic vision, developing new industries and products, while achieving all P&L financial goals and objectives.
Prior to her current role, Judy was Customer Experience Leader for GE Capital, Commercial Distribution Finance. In this hybrid marketing and sales role, Judy was responsible for delivering best in class service at all CDF customer touch points. By driving customer action through analytics, listening to customer input, simplifying customer facing processes, and delivering technology solutions, Judy’s team helps CDF win and retain valuable business.
In Dec 2010, she was promoted to CDF Business Intelligence Director. In that role she was responsible for the development and execution of CDF’s digital, online data and analytics strategy, and delivering actionable performance, marketing, and industry insights to help CDF customers make faster, more informed decisions.
Judy joined GE in June of 2007, as a Marketing Leader for the Diversified Products Group. In August of 2008, she was promoted to an expanded role as Marketing Leader, Strategic Industries Group.
Judy has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Judy started her career as a Process Engineer at Monsanto Company. After two years, Judy transitioned to Ford Motor Company were she held New Model Engineering and Product Design Engineering positions. Judy currently resides in Chicago, IL with her husband.
