Gateway (London)


The London Global Gateway is active year round with myriad intellectual and cultural activities including graduate and undergraduate classes, faculty seminars, conferences, workshops, debates, book launches and other events.

Notre Dame undergraduate and graduate students can enhance their educational experience by spending a semester or a year studying in London with lecturers from many British universities and institutions, as well as faculty members from the University of Notre Dame.  Notre Dame faculty members use the London Global Gateway to enrich their research and scholarship through collaborations with colleagues at British and European institutions. 

The London Global Gateway promotes activities that advance the mission and raise the profile of the University in London and around the world.

Ground transportation from Heathrow to the Notre Dame Gateway

Train:  From London Heathrow, the Heathrow Express runs direct from the airport to London Paddington in just 15 minutes (20 from Terminal 5) and there’s a train every quarter of an hour. At Paddington a transfer is required to the Bakerloo line which runs to Charing Cross Tube station.  Charing Cross is a 10 minute walk from the LGG.

Ground transportation from Heathrow to Royal Horseguards Hotel

Train: The same directions from London Heathrow to Notre Dame Gateway holds true for arrival at Royal Horseguards Hotel, but requires getting off the Bakerloo line one stop earlier at Embankment Station.

The Royal Horse Guards Hotel (2 Whitehall Court)  is within walking distance of the University’s London Global Gateway where the event will be held.  This MAP lists both venues to help with navigation.
